The Stables Cottages at Ellen Hall have been converted from the original
stables, hayloft and milking parlour. Each cottage retains the stable door entrance and
upper hayloft opening; now a French window affording views over the courtyard to open
farmland, letting in light and fresh air, and giving access to the shared balcony.

| Each cottage is "upside
down", with the double bedroom and en-suite shower room on the ground floor, the
living room with kitchen and dining area above. Cosy and warm for the winter months, fully
insulated, with double glazing and storage heating, the cottages are equipped with modern
kitchen appliances including microwave, plus colour TV and video. The cottages are simply
decorated, with natural pine woodwork. |

| Hayloft cottage 1 is the smallest of the five stables
cottages, perfect for those on a budget, or guests simply requiring a pied a terre from
which to explore the area, or for anyone holidaying alone. Stables cottages 2, 3 and 4 are
as pictured on this page. Parlour cottage 5 is
approximately twice as big, & now features a luxury steam shower cubicle with
a power shower & body jets. Ideal for longer stays and guests with
pets. This cottage has recently attained a 4 star rating from the English Tourism Council. |
