Ellen Hall is situated just outside Gilcrux village in northwest Cumbria, six miles from Cockermouth on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Five Stables cottages and two Barn cottages have been converted from the original 17th Century farm buildings.

No longer a working farm, Ellen Hall is now a romantic hide away, set in a peaceful vale near to the river Ellen. It's an ideal retreat, providing stress free get a ways for busy business people and a peaceful haven for retired people with time to linger.

With a small brook running through the garden, this is a place where guests can enjoy the soothing sounds of water and birdsong, while soaking up the peaceful atmosphere.
